This high-quality organic wine takes its name from the famous Monkey Bay (Baie des Singes) cove at Les Goudes, along the coast from Marseille – the traditional entrance into the city’s waters. It was once widely used for smuggling, and legend has it that local children were told to cover their eyes, mouths and ears, like the monkeys in the old story, as the contraband passed by.
